WorkGY is a mobile marketplace that connects people who need everyday tasks done — moving help, cleaning, deliveries, repairs, yard work and more — with trusted local workers ready to do them. Post what you need, get matched with someone nearby, and connect with a small one-time fee — then agree the job directly with your worker.
How it works
- Customers post a task with a description, location, schedule and budget.
- Local workers apply (or the customer invites one directly), and the customer picks the one they want.
- The customer pays a fixed connection fee (currently GY$1,500) to connect with the worker, then agrees the job — price, timing, and payment — directly with them.
The connection fee
The connection fee is the only charge WorkGY makes, and it is processed securely by Stripe — WorkGY never stores card numbers. WorkGY takes no commission on the job itself: the job payment is arranged directly between customer and worker, off-platform, and workers pay WorkGY nothing. If a paid booking is cancelled, the fee is returned to the customer as in-app credit toward their next connection. Workers are independent providers, not employees of WorkGY.
